Ngura Yadurirn Children and Family Centre

This local Department for Education children’s centre connects Ceduna families with early-years programs and services, with a focus on Aboriginal children and families with young children. Its support includes access to Child and Family Health Service assistance for children from birth to five.

Ceduna Out of School Hours Care (OSHC)

School-aged children from 4 to 12 can take part in after-school and vacation care at Ceduna Area School. Child-led choices may include sport, cooking, arts and crafts, science and STEM. Families must complete enrolment and book before attending; casual places are subject to availability.

Crossways Lutheran School Early Learning Centre

Pre-Kindy and Kindy provide school-term early learning for eligible three- and four-year-olds. Pre-Kindy accepts toilet-trained children from the term after their third birthday, while Kindy is for children who turn four by 1 May in their starting year. Enrolment arrangements apply.

Young people aged 8 to 25 can access after-school drop-in sessions, school-holiday programs, activities and tailored support. Ceduna Aboriginal Corporation’s program also assists with social and emotional wellbeing, education, employment and supported referrals. Its core model is open to all young people, while many activities specifically engage Indigenous youth.

UNLOCKED Youth Diversion and Prevention Service

UNLOCKED offers free, confidential help for Ceduna young people aged 10 to 25 who are at risk of, or have experienced, contact with the criminal justice system. Assistance can cover case management, advocacy, cultural and social inclusion, court attendance, education, employment and referrals.

Centacare Ceduna Domestic Violence and Aboriginal Family Violence Service

Women and children experiencing, or who have experienced, domestic or Aboriginal family violence can access free, confidential assistance. Available support includes counselling for women and children, accommodation assistance, groups, links with other services and a 24-hour on-call service.
